Bharatiya Vidyapeeth Deemed University Medical College and Hospital, Sangli was established in the year 2005. At present 150 MBBS students are admitted per year. It has 17 different departments which also runs postgraduate programs by admitting 47 candidates.

The curriculum is divided into  6 academic terms. M.D. course is more practical oriented and research-based as compared to M.B.B.S.

2. MS: MS or Master of Surgery is a postgraduate surgery course.
Surgery is a branch of medical science that treats disease or injury by operative procedures.
General Surgery is a subfield of Surgery that deals with the surgical treatment of abdominal organs, e.g. intestines inclusive esophagus, stomach, colon, liver and furthermore of the thyroid gland and hernia.

3. MBBS: Candidates must qualify for the NEET Exam.
