Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a national-level management entrance examination.

The test scores are used for admission to various MBA, PGDM and allied management programmes.

The exam is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA).

MAT is held four times in a year: February, May, September and December.

MAT 2018 February is now over. The paper-based test (PBT) was conducted on February 4, 2018 and computer based test (CBT) on February 17, 2018.The next exam is scheduled for May. MAT 2018 May dates have been announced. The paper-based test has been scheduled for May 6, 2018, and computer-based test will take place on May 20, 2018.

Eligibility

Here’s the eligibility criteria for the MAT 2018 exam

Graduates in any discipline can take the exam.
Final year graduation students can also apply.
There’s no age limit for MAT exam.

Process

MAT 2018 Application Process

Candidates can apply through any one of three following modes:
1. Online Payment
2. Demand Draft
3. Cash

Admit Card

1. Admit cards for MAT 2018 May exam will be available for download from May 12, 2018 onwards.
2. Candidates can download their respective cards from AIMA website by entering name, DOB and application form number.

Pattern

MAT 2018 Application Pattern

MAT exam is held for almost two-and-a-half hours.
The test covers two hundred (200) questions in 150 minutes.
The aspriant is tested in the following five areas:
1. Indian and Global Environment.
2. Language Comprehension.
3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency.
4. Mathematical Skills.
5. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning.

There are 40 questions in each section.
Each question carries one mark, whereas, one/fourth mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

MAT exam syllabus has five sections:

3. Language Comprehension.
4. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning.
