NEET 2020 Eligibility
NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria has been set by the NTA and all aspiring test takers are expected to fulfill the criteria. Otherwise, they will be subjected to rejection. Candidates should keep this in mind while applying for NEET. The basic eligibility requirement is that candidates should have qualified in Class 12 or an equivalent exam, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects.
- The maximum age limit for NEET 2020 is 25 years and 30 years in the case of Reserved category test-takers. Candidates must be at least 17 years of age to be eligible to apply for the NEET examination.
- The age limits are the same for Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).

NEET Result 2020
With the postponement of NEET 2020 to September 13, the result will be declared by October 12, 2020 (tentatively). The authorities will try to announce the results as soon as possible due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Medical aspirants who attended the exam can check their results on the official website of NTA.
- Before the result declaration, answer keys will be released by NTA.
- Candidates will be able to send challenges against the answer keys on a fee of INR 1000 per answer which may be refunded if NTA accepts the representation.
- NEET Result 2020 will be announced after careful evaluation of the answer sheet of students.
- The result will be applicable for admissions in all the medical colleges in India including AIIMS and JIPMER.
- Candidates should save a copy of their results for future references.
How to Check NEET 2020 Results?
Once the results are announced, candidates can check the result on the official website. Steps to check the NEET 2020 Result are as follows:
- Step 1: Visit the official website of NTA.
- Step 2: Search for the NEET 2020 Result link and click on that link.
- Step 3: The candidates will be redirected to a new link where they should enter their login credentials (registration number and date of birth) to access their NEET 2020 result.
NEET 2020 Cutoff
NEET Cut Off 2020 will release along with the exam results announcements. The cut off varies for each category, candidates must secure the minimum cut off percentile and scores to qualify the exam. NEET Cut Off is based on various factors such as the number of appeared candidates, category of the candidate, difficulty level of the exam. Candidates who wish to pursue MBBS/BDS abroad also need to pass the exam by securing NEET 2020 Cutoff percentile and scores in order to be eligible for admissions.
Minimum Qualifying Percentile:
- It is the minimum or least percentile required by candidates to qualify NEET 2020.
- The minimum Qualifying Percentile is calculated on the basis of the relative performance of all the candidates.
- Candidates to qualify for NEET 2020 will have to secure equal to or more than the percentile.
- The cut-off percentile to be secured for qualifying NEET 2020 is 50th for General Category and 40th for OBC, SC, and ST.

NEET 2020 Counselling
Counseling for NEET 2020 begins shortly after the exam. Candidates will be considered for admission based on NEET 2020 rank. Candidates will be allowed to choose a college during the NEET 2020 Counselling process. However, seat allotment will be based on availability. Other things to keep in mind are:
- All India Quota Counselling is conducted by MCC (Medical Counseling Committee) while State Counselling will be conducted by the respective state exam authority.
- Candidates need to be present at the mentioned location on the specified date for the offline process of counseling.
- All candidates must carry the required documents for the counseling process like 10th and 12th marks card, photo, valid ID, etc.
NEET 2020 Exam Pattern
Those who plan to ace the exam should be aware of the accurate exam pattern. Students can refer to the overview of NEET 2020 Exam Pattern mentioned below –
- Exam mode and duration: The exam is conducted in offline mode for a duration of 3 hours.
- Marking Scheme: Every question in the paper carries 4 marks. Candidates will be rewarded 4 marks for every correct response. 1 mark will be deducted from the total score for every incorrect response. There is no negative marking for unattempted questions.
- Candidates are given a question paper, and they have to mark their responses in the provided OMR sheet.
